About LABCODE Time
LABCODE Time is a set of free browser-based time tools: a timer, a stopwatch, a Pomodoro timer, an interval timer, a date countdown and a classroom timer.
Who makes it
LABCODE Time is built and operated by LABCODE, a small studio that makes focused, single-purpose web utilities. It is the first product in our “Utility Factory”: a shared foundation we use to build fast, accessible tools that load instantly and need no account.
Our principles
- The numbers come first. Every screen is designed around the digits you need to read.
- Usable immediately. No sign-up, no onboarding, no pop-ups.
- Private by default. Timers run in your browser; we do not store what you time.
- Ads never get in the way. If ads are shown, they sit outside the tool and are never shown in full screen.
How the timers stay accurate
Browsers slow down or pause pages that are in the background, so counting “one tick per second” drifts. Our tools instead record the exact moment a timer should end (or when a stopwatch started) and compare it with your device clock every time the screen updates. When you come back to the tab, the display is correct immediately.
Because everything relies on your device clock, changing the system time while a timer runs will change the result.
